Second meeting of the Joint Committee in Johannesburg

Johannesburg, July 4, 2017 – The second meeting of the Joint Committee set up under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Italian Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea, and the Department of Water and Sanitation of the Republic of South Africa was held in Johannesburg. During the meeting, the documents that will regulate the cooperation between the two countries were discussed and approved, (Rules of Procedure of the Joint Committee, Guiding Principles of the Bilateral Cooperation Mechanism, Financial Agreement).

Furthermore, some project proposals were discussed to achieve the objectives set out in the Work Plan, with particular reference to the management, monitoring and treatment of water.
